Looking for a career Change in IT. We all know that IT is going through a transformation phase and it’s our responsibility to align our skills with market expectations which many of them are not doing it. We continue to work with what we are doing now. Most of them want to be in a comfortable zone which may put them at risk if the company feels that they might not add not any value for them with what they are doing right now. Upgrade your skills with the latest technologies and that’s the mantra you should keep in mind when it comes to 2020. There are lots of things to learn and you have to choose the one which is right for your job. Here are my recommendations for you which will do best for you in 2020.

1. Artificial Intelligence

AI has the capability to transform your economy and it deals with the latest technologies like deep learning and machine learning. AI is the next level of developing a computer human where a machine can think like a human.Robotics, Chat Bots, Smart apps that we are using in recent days.Artificial Intelligence is somewhere connected to it. Many enterprises look at making huge changes in their apps. They need their apps to think smart, understand their request and deliver the minimum support without any human intervention. So AI is making a huge impact in the IT Industry and will make big. Don’t miss it out guys.

2. Data Science

Data Science is creating a huge revolution in the IT industry now. It is the process of transforming raw data into actionable insight. IT Companies require Data Scientists to process and analyze their data. Companies are using this data to analyse their marketing strategies and make important decisions. Data Science technology is used in health care and hospitals now where doctors make important decisions for a treatment with the help of data that is analysed through Data Science. We have very few data scientists at present and IT companies require more data scientists in the coming years to build more intelligent systems for different sectors.

4. Internet of Things

IoT is the latest technology that is going to be viral in 2020. We have many new IoT products that are launched  and many more to come. We have more. As per the latest survey, the number of smart homes in the US is expected to increase by 28% in 2021. And we will have 50 billion IoT devices in the coming years. Demand for Smart IoT innovation is growing high and IT companies will look out for more IoT Engineers.

A blockchain is a transaction database shared by all nodes participating in  a system based on BitCoin Protocol. This ensures easy accounting and transfer of value. Adoption of blockchain will increase business flexibility, increase efficiency that is allowing many enterprises to create the right platform for future growth. A Blockchain developer must know one of the programming languages like C++ or Java and you should understand that blockchain technology is used in currency and payments. BlockChain Engineers gets an average salary of $130,000 per annum as per the latest survey. Python is also good for Blockchain. You can become a blockchain developer in 3 months and one thing you have to keep in mind is that you have to learn it from a blockchain expert.

6. Python

Python is a great scripting language which is in high demand now. You can use Python to develop web apps and GUI apps which are easy to learn. It can be used to develop prototypes and most automation, data mining and big data platforms use Python. You Can learn it in 2 months time  and once you complete learning Python, it will be easy for you to learn Data Science, R Programming and Machine Learning. You can automate simple task using Python Script and let you know more and scope for automation. It has good libraries and frameworks such as Django and Flask which makes web development easy. Average Salary of a Python developer is in the range from $80,000 to $160,000.

7. Angular 8

Angular is an open source front end framework developed by google for creating modern web apps. You should be familiar with the basics of Javascript, HTML and CSS before you learn Angular 8. If you want to be a mobile app or web developer this is one of the technologies that you have to learn.
